The North Platte Concert Association has been bringing the Performing Arts to North Platte for over sixty years. The "Greater Artist Series" was organized in the late 1930's by a group of North Platte residents who appreciated the performing arts and dreamed of the opportunity to experience them in our community.

From that original organization, the association evolved to the "Civic Music Association," the "North Platte Community Concert Association," and now the North Platte Concert Association. 

The local board of directors has worked with various booking agencies, including the famous Sol Hurok, to provide talent for the series.  At the present time, our booking agent is Allied Concert Services of Minneapolis, MN, but we appreciate relationships with the Nebraska Arts Council and Arts Across Nebraska - Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Famous artists have appeared in North Platte, including Jan Peerce, Robert Merrill, Isaac Stern, Arthur Rubenstein, Victor Borge, Ferrante and Teicher, the Vienna Boys Choir, the King Singers, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Maynard Ferguson, the Canadian Brass, the Montovani Orchestra, and the Silver Cornet Band.  Because of the interest and generosity of the people of west-central Nebraska, the North Platte Concert Association presents very talented artists who are the stars of tomorrow.

A Tribute to Frankie Valli & Broadway ~~  Monday, October 10th, 2011 7:30 pm--The unexpected Boys have amazed audiences all over the world with their award-winning tribute to one of the most recognized bands to ever hit the airwaves--Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  Don't miss your chance to see these Jersey wise guys, who between them have performed 12 different shows on Broadway, including such hits as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Hairspray and Wicked!
A Nebraska Brass Christmas ~~ Monday December 5, 2011 7:30 pm
The Nebraska Brass is compromised of musicians with a wealth of experience in both classical and commercial idioms.  Members have performed with such ensembles as the Omaha Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln Symphony, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Strategic Air Command Band (USAF) and Mannheim Steamroller.  In addition, members have toured and performed throughout the United States, Europe, South America, Japan, and the Caribbean with numerous musical ensembles. 
                                                                                                         
Riders in the Sky ~~ Saturday March 17, 2012  7:30 pm
A multi Grammy winning Western music group, Riders in the Sky's fun-filled performances
have enchanted audience of all ages.  Their music is firmly grounded in the rich American music traditions as such legendary cowboy singers as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and the Sons of the Pioneers.  Riders in the Sky are themselves the stuff of legend.
Richie Lee and the Fabulous 50'S ~~ Monday, May 7, 2012   7:30 pm
When 20 year old Richie Lee first heard Buddy Holly's music, he was instantly inspired!  At the age of 7 he won a Buddy Holly look alike lip sync contest and the rest was history.  Dubbed a teenage sensation, Richie has made a name for himself performing at 50's style dances and clubs.  Although Richie is the leading Buddy Holly tribute act in the country,  he also pays tribute to Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Ricky Nelson and Eddie Cochran.
       

            Membership                                                                  The North Platte Concert Association relies solely on memberships and sponsors
                               to bring quality professional musical entertainment to North Platte.
Cost of an adult membership is $50 each but if you hurry and get your membership by June 1, 2011 you need only pay $45 for each adult membership!!


Also appreciated are further contributions as a Contributor, Donor, Patron, Benefactor or Gold Sponsor.

(Note: a family membership includes two adults and all dependent children living in the household.  If a grandparent lives in the home, it includes the  grandparent.)
